Governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde is set to unveil the new senate building of Lead City University today in Ibadan.
This is in line with the activities lined up for the 13th convocation ceremonies of the university which began last weekend with a special thanksgiving and jumat service on Friday.
The convocation proper holds today and will be proceeded by the official commissioning/unveiling of the new senate building by Engr.Seyi Makinde, Governor of Oyo state.
According to the institution in its weekly bulletin, only graduands will be allowed into Adeline hall for the ceremony while their guests shall be seated at the University conference center where the proceedings will be streamed live”.
“Also, graduands and their guests are required to come along with hand sanitizer, face masks/shields in compliance with COVID-19 protocols.”
Highlights of the 13th Convocation ceremony is set to include conferment of honourary degrees for distinguished Nigerians, award of prizes to graduands who set themselves apart for excellence during their stay in the University, amongst a host of others.
