In today’s world of shocking and unbelievable true life stories, one tends to wonder who can be trusted? The story of the Taiwo and Kehinde Akanji also known as ‘Marvellous Twins’ is another shocking revelation of so called ‘prophets’ who under the guise of being anointed men of God, perpetrate evil and condemnable acts.
In this exclusive interview with Eniola of The Root Media, the twins reveals shocking secrets of prophets of God and how they were almost used for rituals by a man they call a Prophet of God.

Can we meet you?
Our names are Taiwo and Kehinde Akanji (Marvellous Twins) .
What brought about Marvelous Twins(The name Marvelous) ?
Marvellous Twins was given to us by the holy Spirit when we started the ministry.
How long have you been in the music industry?
We’ve been in the music industry 10years back when God called us .
How did you start?
We started by joining the choir in a Cherubim and Seraphim Church.
So how do you compose your song as a twin?
We both compose. Anyone God ministers to between us will deliver it and we both will work on it.
When did you release your first album?
Our first Album was released 7 years ago which we titled ORI MI TETE LA . The title was later changed when we came across a Marketer after we’ve waited long to see a Marketer and we didn’t ,The marketer we later saw said we should change the title ,and we did , That brought about ASE ẸRI .
Who do you see as a role model in the music industry?
Our Role model in the music industry is Evang. Mother .Dr . Bola Are .
What did you see in Mama Bola Are that made you choose her as your role model?
Mama Bola Are is an anointed woman of God that ministers with her song as directed by the Holy Spirit. She is not the type that will just sing. Here songs are inspiring and do touch people’s lives because she is always in spirit whenever she sings.
Where are the places you minister?
We sing in churches, revivals, wedding ceremonies , birthday ceremonies, house warming and other places where God’s name is been glorified.
For over a decade, what can you say are the challenges you have encountered in your journey?
Lots of challenges occurred during that time and even till now. I mean Lots . Firstly ,I want to thank the person whom God has used for this interview in person of Mr Ayo (The Root Media) ,We are so happy and we pray wherever he may be, God’s grace, mercy and joy will continue to speak for him (Amen)
When we started, it was tough but we kept moving. We were attending a celestial church, we then proceeded by going to the Cherubim and Seraphim . This is where the devil started his work.
When we joined this church at first everything was going smoothly, Not until the prophet of the church started monitoring our lives and wanted to kill us. He did it to the extent that he wanted to use us for ritual purposes. You know , there is a difference between church and church congregation. In the church, we are the prophetess at the same time the choristers. Some other prophets came around that time to wage war against us so we decided to leave there and we did. A message came to us that we should get our first album and give it to the prophet to find something to do about it. If the prophet didn’t know anything about the calamities befalling us, we won’t be told to go and give him the album. We did as said ,and he (the prophet) told us we can go ahead. But trying to move forward, it was like going from frying pan to fire. It was another wage of war part two. ,We later learnt that this prophet called on seven other Prophets to pray against our first album tilted ORI MI TETE LA (Before we later changed to ASẸ ẸRI).
How did you get to know about this?
We prayed over it, that was when God revealed the whole secret and we were freed. Meanwhile, this prophet do use people’s glory to attain wealth, he also stole from people. We know this because he did this to use too. He sent Hired Assassin’s to us but thank God for the holy Spirit bestowed in us that revealed everything, He failed on that and now he is planning to take another step but God has revealed his ploy and that of his cohorts who ganged up against us after we left the church, wanting us dead.
So there are prophets who engage in this?
There are quite a number. My advice to this kind of prophets is to respect their anointing because we have fake prophets. This is one of the reasons why we sang FAKE CALLING , There are many of them using the name of God to scam people ,We didn’t intentionally sing FAKE CALLING ,it’s what we see happening that we decided to put out there.
The congregation’s fortunes he do collect, he achieved this by giving them soaps in the church and execute the job in the midnight. I’m not saying this to blackmail him, If I’m saying this to blackmail this prophet, may our ministry not proceed , But if I’m saying this not to blackmail him, may our ministry proceed and God should lift us up for the world to see our glory shinning.
This prophet has organized 21 different prophets now to wage war against us , But God has scattered their plans. All thanks to God Almighty ,I want to use this medium to advise the people of God to look very well before joining any church . Not all that call God are truly servants of God. Even the Bible said it ,that fake prophets will rise after his ascension. He said not all that calls me God will enter my kingdom.
Imagine a prophet using his church member’s glory! He is not the only one doing that ,We have many of them.
A prophet that called his other prophets that he wanted to use Marvellous Twins for ritual and they supported him, are they not the same? ‘Birds of the same feather flock together.’ “Show me your friend ,And I will tell you whom you are.”, These are the right sayings for this.
Those prophets that supported him to perpetrate such acts cannot be called prophets of God. They are fake prophets and are of the devil. They are many ! God has told us to write the script and give to the film maker to produce and people should watch ,So they can open their eyes before going to a prophet.
We’ve written FAKE CALLING, SOBALOJU , AWỌTẸLẸ We want to give it out to the film makers for free so the whole world can know their secrets.
Some Prophets did theirs all in the name of anniversary , By cooking and the members will eat without knowing what has been done secretly .
Aside from the church challenges, what other challenges did you encounter?
Aside from the church challenges, we faced challenges from our family members,.They almost killed us too. Our story is just like that of Joseph and his family , Joseph was even lucky because his family sold him out, our family wanted to kill us but again all thanks to God Almighty that made us triumph.
Prophets that do consult Sango (god of Iron ), Ifa and all other mini-gods , Fetish prophets,They are not part of us ,They are not christians ,They are not of God but of the devil.
We are in the world of war. We battle with different types of people ,Not only the Prophets, friends are there, neighbors, landlords and others close to us.
What is your advice to young and upcoming artistes and for those that are willing and ready to join the music industry?
Our advice for the upcoming artistes is to focus on their aim ,and not to be thinking that without doing fetish things , they won’t succeed in their music career. Total lie! Also, some see the celebrity artistes as hindrance to their success in the industry. Na lie o! We have battles from churches , families and friends ,If one can tackle all these battles, it will surely end in praise .
And to those that don’t want to wait for God’s time, you want a ready-made meal. Food that you didn’t prepare. You should know something must happen before getting to the top.
They must be prayerful. Without prayers and fasting , Miracle can’t occur but with fasting, Prayer and help of the holy Spirit ,We can overcome our battles.
